Job Description: Immediate need for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for the Princeton office. Proven interest in building design and sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals. The main responsibility will be to design heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air-conditioning, building automation and controls. In person-in-office work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of all mechanical engineering and design tasks out of the Princeton office
Hands-on ability to prepare all Mechanical engineering contract drawings in relation to building design
Prepare design of all HVAC as well as water distribution, ventilation, and building automation systems
Selection of equipment used in building systems
Coordinate work with other engineering disciplines
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 5 + years professional experience in HVAC Engineering and Design
Proven experience in Mechanical Design with higher education, K-12 schools, commercial, and historic preservation and renovation.
Knowledge of state and local codes
EIT and-or PE license desired but not required.
Previous design experience with an AE, fire protection firm or MEP engineering firm
Excellent communication skills with the ability to thoroughly communicate thoughts and technical ideas
Education: Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college
