Job Description: IMMEDIATE NEED for a highly qualified BIM Specialist | BIM Manager to work on the NYC Borough Based Jails Program. Responsible for supporting project teams through the application of BIM technologies. The BIM Specialist will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, tools, and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout project delivery.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver BIM training sessions for project staff, mentor junior team members, and promote BIM literacy across the program.
Ensure BIM models meet program requirements, QA standards, ISO or other relevant standards, and client guidelines.
Manage the team to produce regular BIM progress reports.
Serve as the primary BIM point of contact for all.
Organize, manage, and lead BIM workshops and meetings.
Ability to delegate tasks, as well as manage and deliver assigned tasks.
Oversee BIM deliverables across design and construction.
Support scheduling, cost, and assets where applicable.
Ensure that digital information can be used for facility management post-construction.
Utilizes special knowledge to conduct complex modeling.
Support efforts in development, testing and implementation of design tools.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BIM-related software.
Required:
Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field of study.
Progressive experience in BIM/3D Modeling with a focus on Autodesk Software suites
Strong knowledge of design and construction processes.
Advanced knowledge in BIM programs and applicable techniques.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Knowledge and experience in the disciplines within the AEC industry.
Experience with Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360
Experience with Rhino, Lumion, Unity, Twinmotion, AutoCAD, etc.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
