Description: Immediate need for an Intermediate-level Architect – Job Captain to develop mid-size projects in the NJ-NY-PA area. Should be hands-on with exceptional design as well as people skills. The desired Architectural Designer should have strong production, technical, and managerial skills; having experience with commercial, multi-family, mixed-use, educational, industrial, and retail projects.
Qualifications:
4+ years of architectural experience particularly in commercial building design
Experience with project management
Experience with steel, concrete, and timber construction.
Strong knowledge of NJ building codes and permitting.
Knowledge of NY, NYC, and PA regulations is a plus.
Proven experience with multifamily housing, educational, office, mixed-use, and industrial buildings
Must have strong production and technical skills. Solid background in construction drawings.
Experience as a Job Captain, Project Architect, or Project Manager with some client interaction
Fluent in AutoCAD (required) and Revit (desired)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Education: BS or BA Architecture or Master's in associated areas (prefer NJIT)
